Chávez: We are consolidating South America as a great territory of peace.
Caracas, 29 Mar. AVN .- “We will continue opening spaces within this South American integrator, binational and multi-lateral axis to consolidate South America as a great territory of peace with a great capacity to face and solve our conflicts in peace,” said the President of Venezuela Hugo Chavez after a meeting held this Tuesday with his Argentinean counterpart Cristina Fernandez, in the Pink House, Buenos Aires.
The Venezuelan head of State underscored that the revision and signing of new cooperation agreements with Argentina strengthens the Latin American integration network, which allows the creation of not just economic spaces, but of peace.
Chavez said that conflicts must be prevented in the region, so South American peoples can keep growing.
“We do not want foreign factors, different from our South American continent, to come here and alter the peace we need to continue with our peoples" development projects,” said the Venezuelan President in a joint press conference with Cristina Fernandez.
